About
Behind every pain, there is a person, a story, a daily life. That's where my work begins.
My name is Nicolae Cosmir. I am a physiotherapist in Brussels, where I have practised since 2021 at the Maison Médicale Edmond Machtens in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. Alongside this, I care for residents of the Walfergem care home in Asse, on the outskirts of Brussels.
Background
Graduate of Haute École Léonard de Vinci in Brussels (2017–2021), one of Belgium's leading schools for physiotherapy and healthcare training.
Since November 2021, I have seen patients of all ages and backgrounds there, in independent practice, at the heart of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean — working within a multidisciplinary team alongside doctors and nurses.
Alongside this, I work with older adults in residential care: maintaining mobility, preventing falls, and rehabilitation after hospitalisation. A school of rigour and patience.
Approach
Listen before treating. The initial assessment takes as long as it needs to: understanding your pain, but also your work, your habits, your goals.
Explain clearly. You always know why we're doing an exercise and where we're headed. A patient who understands their treatment progresses better.
Build independence. My goal isn't to keep you coming to sessions, but to give you back the means to move without me — with exercises suited to your daily life.
Languages
In Brussels, healthcare happens in several languages. Being able to explain your pain in your native language makes all the difference to the quality of care.
A question, a prescription, pain that's worrying you? The first step is simple.
